I have been to the beach several times in my life, but not all beaches are the same! When I visited Honolulu, Oahu a month ago, I realized just how different beaches can be. Because Oahu is one of the islands within Hawaii, it has a lot of beaches. Some of my favorites were Waimea Bay, the North Shore and Hanauma Bay. I was able to take a bus to Waimea Bay and it was fun climbing a giant rock to dive into the ocean. I met a lot of locals and had a very good time. At the North Shore, I took a class in surfing. I have wanted to take surfing lessons for a long time and this was my chance. Because the waves were a little rough, I didn't do as well as I had hoped, but I had fun. And the third beach I enjoyed the most was Hanauma Bay. This is a very special beach where people can snorkel and see all kinds of marine creatures.
